Vigyan Bhairav Tantra for Seekers of Truth
The Vigyan Bhairav Tantra, which forms a part of the Rudrayamala Tantra is a treasure house for spiritually inclined people, trying to find ways and means to elevate their levels of consciousness or trying to enter the fathomless depths of their sub-conscious mind. The Vigyan Bhairav Tantra can also be of immense help to those spiritualists, the followers of Non-Dualism, Kundalini Awakening Aspirants, trying to merge their consciousness into the whole and realizing the true nature of the self and over-self.
The Vigyan Bhairav Tantra, is a small text containing 163 Verses, which describes 112 different ways and means to realize one-self, the true nature of the over-self [ meaning, Bhairava- the Ever-Existent One]. Almost all these methods or techniques are most simple and even the lay-person or those not so well-endowed with language skills will be able to understand, the real essence of these ways and means of realizing one’s real nature.
Baring a few techniques, which are related to Yoga, all the other meditation techniques need a simple change in thought patterns. Each technique, in itself is a complete and conclusive method of realizing reality. Practitioners of Spiritualism, including those in the advanced stages can find a conclusive solution to find the elusive reality of the self and over-self.
The Vigyan Bhairav Tantra is easily available on the Internet, I would advise, seekers to read or download the basic version, which contains only the Sanskrit Verse and it’s English translation. This is so because, the seeker can easily grasp the essence of the technique, without being influenced by the thoughts of the interpreter.
In many earlier articles, I had emphasized the greatest need for the Spiritualism Aspirant was to cultivate the habit of firsthand or virgin thought patterns because everything else, including the preachings of the great saints and masters and the greatest works on spirituality will be second or third hand knowledge for him.
