Katyayani Mantra for Girls Marriage

This is one of the most popular and famous of the Marriage Mantra to be chanted by a girl of marriageable age. Today I will tell you its meaning and the right way to practice it. The mantra is chanted to invoke the blessings of Katyayani Devi; the sixth manifestation of Shakti Mata.

The mantra originates from The Bhagavata Purana. It is a prayer to the Goddess Katyayani by the Gopis of Vrindavan; imploring her to make Krishna, her husband. This prayer was chanted by all the unmarried Gopis who fasted and placed certain restrictions upon themselves in order to invoke this boon from the Goddess.

This mantra has to be chanted early in the morning after a bath before an image or idol of Katyayani Devi. The girl should worship the Goddess and offer some Kumkum to the Goddess and then take a little bit of that Kumkum and apply it on her forehead.

The sixth day of the festival of Navratri is dedicated especially for the worship of Katyayani Devi and hence is considered as an extremely auspicious occasion for unmarried girls to fast and chant this mantra to get the bridegroom they have always wished for. The procedure for chanting the mantra should be the same as mentioned above.

    Namaste Sir, for How many days this mantra should be chanted??Can we begin to chant this mantra from any day according to our wish or we have to follow on auspicious day??     I have been divorced for over 10 years now. I have been trying to get remarried since, but the talks to marriage happens and then the relationship breaks off.

    Please let me know if i should chant the katyani mantra for delayed marriage or just the katyani mantra. Also can i chant this mantra anytime during the day, or does it have to be at a specific type and procedure.

    I recently broke up with another man who i love truly and have taken to be my husband in my heart. Please advice. I dont know what to do.

    यदि किन्ही कारणों से ,चाहे वह कुंडली में मांगलिक दोष हो या ग्रहों का कुप्रभाव हो ,लड़की के विवाह में अड़चन हो ,बिलम्ब हो रहा हो ,परेशानियां आ रही हों ,तो यह कात्यायनी मन्त्र अचूक है .किसी भी शुक्ल पक्ष की शुभ तिथि से मन्त्र साधना की जा सकती है .कन्या स्वयं मन्त्र जाप करे .जप संख्या सवा लाख है ,जिसे सुविधानुसार रोज निर्धारित संख्या में जप कर पूर्ण किया जा सकता है .माँ दुर्गा या कात्यायनी के चित्र के समक्ष लाल आसन पर लाल वस्त्र पहन कर ,लाल पुष्प ,कुमकुम अर्पित करते हुए पूजा करें .लाल चन्दन की माला से जप करें .विधवा,परित्यक्ता ,तलाकशुदा महिलायें भी मनोनुकूल पति की कामना से मन्त्र जाप कर सकती हैं .(मन्त्र में 'कुरुते 'एक शब्द हो गया है ,इसे 'कुरु ते 'इस तरह पढ़ें )
