Laxmi Mata Aarti - English - Marathi

This is another Aarti in the Marathi Language recited in praise of Laxmi or Mahalaxmi Mata, the Hindu Goddess of Abundance of all things in life whether material or spiritual.

This Aarti is also recited while doing a Vrat or fast of Laxmi Mata on Thursdays.

It is said that one must never nurture an ego or false pride over ones wealth. Those who have this pride, invariable insult others over their lack of wealth, and think no end of themselves. It is said those who indulge in such behavior find that the Goddess of Abundance curses them and they loose all their wealth.

To win the favor of the Goddess of Abundance one must always be modest about ones wealth and try to help others who do not have wealth.

Ovalu aarti jay jay laxmimata l

Prasann vadne prasann hosi,tarisi tu bhakta ll Dhru.ll

Purva janmichi vrat punyaee,vaibhavranila l

Grav dhanacha tila visarli,laxmimatela l

Apmanane shaap dila mag,aali daridrata l

Prasann vadne prasann hosi,tarisi tu bhakta ll 1 ll

Vrat kelyane prasann jhali,devi ranila l

Dainya dukh te dur karoni,man nirmal jhale l

Shyambala dasilahi prasann vadne l

Paavan ho mata ll 2 ll

Guruvari he vrat je kariti nemdharma dharuni l

Manokamna purna karil ti,aghatit ho karni l

प्रसन्न वदने प्रसन्न होसी तारिसी तू भक्तां ll धृ.ll

पूर्व जन्मीची व्रत पुण्याई,वैभवराणीला l

गर्व धनाचा तिला विसरली,लक्ष्मीमातेला l

अपमानाने शाप दिला मग,आली दरिद्रता l

प्रसन्न वदने प्रसन्न होसी,तारिसी तू भक्तां ll १ ll

व्रत केल्याने प्रसन्न झाली,देवी राणीला l

दैन्य दु:ख ते दूर करोनी,मन निर्मल झाले l

शामबाला दासीलाही प्रसन्न वदने l

पावन हो माता ll २ ll

गुरुवारी हे व्रत जे करिती नेमधर्म धरुनी l

मनोकामना पूर्ण करील ती,अघटित हो करणी l
