Chandra Aarti - English - Marathi

The Moon or Chandra in Hindi is an important planet in the Hindu religion. The Moon is considered as the only visible God who illuminates the night. He is also seen as the presiding deity of the night or darkness.

In astrology the Moon affects the mind more than any other planet of heavenly body. In fact the Hindu calendar is primarily based on the phases of the moon. In Vedic astrology also the sing which the moon occupies at the time of birth is taken as the birth sign or Rashi of the native.
