Evening Mantra

Sandhya or Dusk is considered to be a magical period. This is a period when it is neither day nor night. It is said that this period generates very powerful energies, and hence praying or the reciting of Mantras during this period is beneficial.

This is the period of Twilight when the light of the Sun is not directly visible; hence what we receive is the reflected light. It is said that this is a magical period which affects all living beings.

The Sandhya Smaran Mantra is a mantra to meditate on Sandhya or Dusk. This mantra consists of 24 names of Vishnu, the Protective Force in nature out of the Hindu Trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh—the Creator, the Protector and the Destroyer.
