Sankata Nasana Ganesha Stotram

The Sankata Nasana Ganesha or Ganapati Stotra is taken from the Narada Purana. The Narada purana is one of the major eighteen Hindu puranas and it contains example of devotion and worship, in the form of an dialogue between the Narada and Sanat Kumar.

The recitation of this stotra enables one to completely wipe out sorrows and impending dangers, clean ones Karma and enable good and positive vibration around ones being and residence.

It is said that the fruits of reciting this stotra are visible in a short time, when it is recited with a pure heart, love, compassion and devotion towards Ganesha.

ll Narada uvaca ll
Pranamya sirasa devan gauriputram vinayakam l
bhaktavasam smaren nityam ayus kamartha siddhaye ll
Prathamam vakratundam ca ekadantam dvitiyakam l
trtiyam Krsna pingaksam gajavaktram caturthakam ll
Lambodaram pancamam ca sastam vikatam eva ca l
saptamam vighnarajam ca dhumravarnam tathastamam ll
Navamam bhalacandram ca dasamam tu vinayakam l
ekadasam ganapatim dvadasam tu gajananam ll
Dvadasaitani namani trisandhyam yah pathen narah l
na ca vighnabhayam tasya sarvasiddhi karam param ll
Vidyarthi labhate vidyam dhanarthi labhate dhanam l
putrarthi labhate putran moksarthi Labhathe Gatheem ll
Japet Ganapati stotram sadbhir masaih phalam labhet l
samvatsarena siddhim ca labhate natra samsayah ll
Astabhyo brahmanebhyas ca likhitva yah samarpayet l

संकटनाशनं श्री गणेशस्तोत्रम्
॥श्री गणेशाय नम:॥
॥नारद उवाच॥
प्रणम्य शिरसा देवं गौरीपुत्रं विनायकम् l
भक्तावासं स्मरेन्नित्यामायु: कामार्थ सिध्ध्ये ॥
प्रथमं वक्रतुण्डं च एकदन्तं द्वितीयकम् l
तृतीयं कृष्णपिंगाक्षं गजवकत्रं चतुर्थकम् ॥
लंबोदरं पंचमं च षष्ठं विकटमेव च l
सप्तमं विन्धराजं च धूम्रवर्ण तथाSष्टमम्।l
नवमम् भालचन्द्रम् दशमं तु विनायकम् l
ऐकादशं गणपति द्वादशं तु गजाननम् ॥
द्वादशैतानि नामानि त्रिसंध्यं य: पठेन्नर: l
न च विघ्नभयं तस्य सर्वसिद्धिकरं परम् ॥
विद्यार्थी लभते विद्यां धनार्थी लभते धनम् l
पुत्रार्थी लभते पुत्रान् मोक्षार्थी लभते गतिम् ॥
जपेद्द गणपतिस्तोत्रं षड्भिर्मासै: फलम् लभते l
संवत्सरेण सिद्धिं च लभते नात्र संशय ॥
अष्टानां ब्राह्मणानां च लिखित्वा य: समर्पयेत् l
तस्यविद्या भवेत्सर्वा गणेशस्यप्रसादत॥
॥ इतिश्री नारदपुराणे संकटनाशनम् गणपतिस्तोत्रम् सम्पूर्णम् ॥
